Seminar on infant feeding patterns in Scotland
Friday 31st October, 3pm. Seminar Room 5, Chrystal MacMillan Building.
This seminar will discuss how infant feeding habits have changed in Scotland between 2004 and 2011, using data from two separate cohorts from the Growing Up in Scotland study (GUS). One of the most interesting results is that in 2011, mothers from more disadvantaged backgrounds breastfed for longer than their counterparts in 2004. The discussion will address whether policies aimed at improving breastfeeding during that period may have been behind this change in feeding habits. For more information click here
