Q-Step student Nishad Sanzagiri receives Edinburgh Award

The president of the Q-Step student society EdQSoc, Nishad Sanzagiri receives the Edinburgh Award for Professionalism in Community Engagement.

Nishad receives the award for his active role as president of EdQSoc. The Society for Quantitative Research is run by Q-Step undergraduate students and has been active in connecting Q-Step students and those interested in quantitative methods, data science, big data, social analytics and other related areas, both within the university and via the wider national Q-Step framework since 2015. As president, Nishad has been actively involved in the organisation of academic and social events for Q-Step students.

The Edinburgh Award for Professionalism in Community Engagement is bestowed on students at the School of Social and Political Science, who are engaged and active in their communities. Although usually meant for postgraduate students, it was rolled it out to final-year undergraduates for the first time this academic year, making Nishad one of the first undergraduate students to receive the award.

Please join us in congratulating Nishad on his achievement.
